It’s been a few days since the Will Chimeras Pack… rolled out… and we hope that you’re already putting your master summoner skills to good use recruiting your new favorites!

It appears that a couple of pesky little bugs also snuck in riding on the backs of the Will Chimeras, but never fear! We’re just as good at taming bugs as we are Chimera and have just released a small update to improve your experience.

"It will never work" said the haters, "Free? In this economy? You must be out of your minds." Maybe we are. But maybe, just maybe, this is the greatest thing to ever happen in the history of Dicefolk. Without further ado, let's chat about Dicefolk's free content update available August 19th... for free.

When you update Dicefolk on August 19th, you'll have quite a few new options starting off with a brand new game mode called Special Mode! Take on one of 13 unlockable challenges which turn the average Dicefolk run completely on its head. These modified runs progressively unlock as you clear more and more, so you'll have to think outside the box in order to see everything this update has to offer. But Special Mode is merely the beginning of the new content - this update also features over 70 new equipment items to unlock, 4 new bosses, Chimera tweaks, new Steam achievements, and more. Did we mention it's free?? Because it is.

"Wow! So much great free stuff! But I want to elevate my Dicefolk experience even further" you say, hungry for more Dicefolk.

"You want MORE?" the haters say as they turn up their nose, "You think these developers have MORE Dicefolk for you? They just gave you a free update!"

Sorry haters. We DO have more. It's the Will Chimeras Pack, it's also out August 19th, and it costs very little money. It's pretty close to free. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but this is quite possibly the greatest thing to happen in the history of Dicefolk.

🚨PATCH 1.0.18 IS LIVE🚨

Dicefolk has only been out for a week, and the response from all of you here in the community has been overwhelming. We could not have asked for a better launch, and we have all of you to thank. From the bottom of our computer screen-blinded hearts, we thank you.

Now, for some business:

There were just a couple of little bugs that a few of you flagged for us, and we are pleased to report that this patch has squashed those bugs. Also we went ahead and fixed some typos here and there. We have always respected the written word and will defend its sanctity UNTIL OUR VERY LAST. Thanks to everyone who pointed out those misspellings.

While our reviews have been very positive on Steam, we have been extra appreciative of hearing feedback on aspects of the game that could use some tweaking, specifically when it comes to difficulty. You want a challenge, and we are thrilled to oblige. In the immediate term, we’ve adjusted some Chimera and item stats that were a bit OP. In the longer term, we are working on a few things to make Dicefolk a more challenging and deeper experience overall, and we will let you know when that patch goes live.

Again, thank you so much for being here, playing the game, and letting us know what you like and dislike. Game development is a conversation, and we are fortunate to be in that conversation with such a supportive community.
