I’ve played about an hour each in both modes and from what I can tell there are jump scares in both; in Survival Mode obviously the horrors jump out at you now and then, and in Exploration Mode you still trigger environmental jumpscares.

E.G. there’s a bit where you’re running down a dim corridor;
- Survival: vent bursts open and some bugs you have to fight up come with it.
- Exploration: the vent still bursts open, but nothing to fight.

I am staying in Exploration Mode, for the sake of my blood pressure haha.

EDIT: to fully answer, from what I’ve played so far, it’s not a constant stream of jump scares—they’re well timed and make sense as part of the story—but they are more frequent in Survival than Exploration.

Hmm, there are a fair few in there. BUT! The Exploration Mode (available from the start) turns off all enemies and danger, and let's you play the story, the puzzles, explore the park and solve its mysteries! So maybe that's for you?

Thank you for replying. I like combat and decision making so I dont mind. Just when horror games have a jump scare focus it gets tiresome after the first 2 hours of the thing that runs real fast and screams at your screen if it catches you ha. playing stuff like silent hill where theyre very minimal and signalis that has zero and still manage to scare the crap out of me thru atsmophere and storytelling is much better.

game looks great so Im excited to try it.
