Pacifist run?

I beat Murder of Crows difficulty last night with an A+ rank using all bonus items with 1 save at the end. I’m gonna start a new MoC run without using bonuses and try to only kill the final boss to attempt an S+ rank. But so far it seems pretty tricky to avoid enemies without taking damage and eventually losing my ability to run. I wanna know does using environmental traps like the oil drums or bear traps count as killing enemies? Or can I use them at the right time to get through tricky spots in my attempt at a good run?

any method of defeating enemies nets you a 'kill' for your rank (even if they walk into a beartrap without your input)

Ah I see, that'll be really tricky then especially when I get near the end... looks like I'll be shooting any beartraps and poison bubbles I see rather than enemies.
