Is there any kind of "dex" out there, showing what monsters breed into what?

Is there any way to get more of the 4* characters without opening a wallet? (currently happy with the one free one, but figure I'm going to need some others at some point)

Bonus question, do the mons stats matter at all while breeding?

Only JP wiki has that. Do take note that the in-game breeding guide only show you 2 pairings for each monster.

No. I would say buy 2 more just to fill out the active roles but f2p should be able to clear the "normal" story mode regardless.

Check steam guide or join discord group. In short, no but there are other things you need to pay attention to before you fuse.

This game is pretty complex, so I wont get into details here, but if you can at least buy another 4* character, I would recommend getting Kokoshka for her hearts(passive abilities).
Theres also a tierlist on the discord server if youre interested in getting the "best" characters.

Pretty sure that's the free character I picked up, her character quest reward mon won me over, looks like a fox in the little picture.

The first few chapters are super easy while the later chapters are "normal". Getting other 4* characters isnt at all necessary. Theyll make things easier, yeah, but theyre not necessary. If you wanna be f2p, buy the 3* characters with in-game currency(Kain) and use those instead.
