Wow, review bombed - not what I expected - but private servers?
Do they have private servers - or is it more of an MMO?

It is an MMO, 8000 players on one server is the actual limit, on release they want to have space for 25k players on each server. Definitely no private servers, no one could pay them without collecting money from the players.

Its not being review bombed. This is what happens when you push a game out wayyyyyy to early and wayyyyy to empty. Everyone said this would happen and here we are.

100% Agreed !

Fair enough - but is it an MMO or does it have private servers. If it's an MMO; I'll go remove it from my wishlist.

Lmao, wtf are you talking about "review bombed"?! Game is unplayable, janky everything, rubber banding, disconnects, and basically the game feels and plays like a tech demo or proof of concept...probably worse since you can't really play the game.

That and why are so lack luster about this game you couldn't even google search it yourself instead of coming in here with literally no information whatsoever and asking if it's private servers or an mmo? Like what planet are you from?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Your first MMORPG on a release day? Looks so. That is pretty normal. Nearly no MMORPG was running fine on the first days before they optimized all on server side that all runs smoothly.
doshha Jun 18, 2024 @ 8:57am
NO its what happens when there an very expensive price and features listed that dont work...PLUS Social aspects dont work.
doshha Jun 18, 2024 @ 8:59am
Plus there no real point of the game? where is all the unique aspects players can show off? All the rares all the mutations, what to strive for in an grind ?? only the devs attempt show off but lose.

But to be honest, the claim the possibiltiy of 8000 players on one server, but a lot of mmos allready did claim that and all of them didnt deliver.
Its the same, all the time. Lagging and rubberbanding long bevore coming even close to this number, while magically fixing the issues when the player numbers drop.

And im not seeing they invented anything to solve this technical challenge, so its quite possible the same here.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Review_bomb - a large amount of people have posted negative reviews - that's a review bomb....

And thus the reason it's being review bombed....

Ah, an intelligent answer. Thank you for the information. I was worried this was the case - especially after all the negative reviews; but couldn't find anything - there's a TON of bad reviews out there as you might expect. Thank you.

I'm glad I didn't waste my money. Thank you again!

No private servers, and doubt there ever will be since they are going with a scaling monthly subscription once it leaves early access which revolves mainly around the sale of plots. It was bound to get a ton of negative reviews. The systems in the game are basic and nothing new (crafting, building, some basic dungeons/caves). The engine itself (Unreal 5) does a lot of heavy lifting from visuals to the vast draw distance (nanite).

The whole "social sandbox MMO" is a fancy way of masking over the lack of effort in providing actual game content. Right now it even lacks or is non-existent in the "social" aspects in almost all areas.

Its unfortunate, most everyone in some capacity who's a fan of MMOs is seeking that next epic MMO; sadly they are so far and few nowadays.

It's amazing people can't just give a simple yes or no. Conan is listed as an MMO - it has private servers.

So what exactly is this game looking at articles they seem to paint it as another base building sandbox game.
Also if it is I think we as a community are being to lenient when other games of the genre are being released in EA. Maybe they too thought that since others aren't getting negative reviews by being in ea this one would be safe. Of course I don't know if this is the actual case but as of late it's been seeming that way.
