How do we preload the game after getting the steam edition on the site?

I know theres still 5 hours to go till the 18th but wouldnt mind having it installed and ready. But havent recieved a steam key with my order.

As I understand it, Steam doesn't allow early access to an early access game. The 18th is as early as it gets.
Steam keys should be mailed out tomorrow.

damn it :( it said on the site that pre-orders would get in first so I had hoped it would be emailed and usable straight away.

Still feeling a bit iffy about my purchase due to the talk of a subscription later (Xbox game pass is the last sub that I have now and that ends in 2 days, not renewing. just cant afford to keep being bled by all these subs) Still I gather thats a year away so we shall see.

I thought I saw that somewhere Pax Dei was going to email a few hours ahead of with the key and the ability to predownload. Did I read it wrong?

it's a possibility, but I don't know if Steam will allow it, and the devs made a point of not promising anything there.

assuming midnight release (usually a console thng but would make sense to stagger the server access and not have it crash) then there is only 4 hours till midnight here (5 technically as were in BST and its usually midnight GMT for midnight releases)

you have at least a year to play it. If you are still wanting to play it AFTER an entire year, then the sub probably worth to you then.

you have at least a year to play it. If you are still wanting to play it AFTER an entire year, then the sub probably worth to you then.

Yeah I read its not until the game is out of early access and that is usually well over a year for most games... so we shall see.
We shall also see if they add stuff like paying real money for more land plots (beyond the original purchase perks)

if there a sub more plots will cost mroe money but you can do everything with 1 plot just have to build up

Steam key are set to be sent automatically at release time , The only pre-loading / downloading is those who purchased through the website it seems and use the pax launcher.

What about those who bought the game after Launch and cant login through steam once you've launched Pax Dei? I never received a code.

check your spam I got the steam code in an email called "my game was released today!" lol
