And congratulations, it's nice that you have finally realized that this is a massively MULTIPLAYER online RPG and not a solo online RPG that is made to be played for months and not only some days/weeks for solo players.
But what you still haven't understood is that this MMO is very much in development and that includes balancing everything properly, even for the things that aren't in the game yet.
I had no memory leaks in Alpha 2, played it for 8+ hours without crashing and surprise, that can happen when you develop a game. A memory leak is nothing more than a bug.
And sorry, nobody has to listen to the opinions of MMO Youtubers who take themselves too seriously and think they know what they're talking about, even though they're not even the target audience.
Being an MMO fan doesn't mean that you suddenly belong to the target group of all MMOs. Something that many MMO fans have never realized and as soon as they are not part of the target group, the MMO is bashed from them.
Go back to mommy and play Barbie but stop posting useless stuff.
If a game forces you to party up, it's bad game design. It's fine if groups and guilds get the better loot, the easier experience, the more XP, etc. That's fair and fine. What's NOT okay is locking out PvE entirely. As a solo you cannot PvE at all. The most basic of humanoid mobs will destroy you in a 1v1 regardless of your gear. They're designed to fizzle you with magic if you try to fight them using clever game mechanics like a height advantage vs a melee target too. It's by design and I don't like it. Also fun fact: The majority of MMO players are solo these days. That's just how it is. If you want to make a niche game for 8% of the player base, go for it. Us solo guildless players won't be the target audience, and that's fine, but we'll still be rightuflly salty about being discluded from the game.
You probably had memory leaks and didn't notice them. or you weren't around areas with lots of players or massive construction projects.
Nobody "has" to listen to anything, but they "should" listen to these opinions especially since I'm not a paid corporate shill like "Annie" or any of those baby channels moonlighting as actual youtubers. (Who are probably on the Pax Dei payroll let's be honest every game has 'em.)
Who is the target audience in your opinion? Cozy gamers?
This MMO has crafting, full loot pvp, open world, base building. All of which I'm the head honcho in the niche.
You seem to be a Lost Ark enjoyer. How can you stand to play such a game riddled with bots with a company that did absolutely nothing to stop them?
Do i need Bots? No
Do i like em? No
Can i do something about them ? No, so not my job.
Let us just start here:
If a game forces you to party up, it's bad game design.
Its an M M O
Ever heard of that?
Google it, and learn something about game mechanics and designs, BEFORE you post stupid things.
Get some grip Fanboi.
Maybe grow a back bone and stand up for yourself. Not everyone gets to have friends, cohorts, or comrades. Not everyone meshes well with others.
Yes, it's an MMO, meaning I get to play against other players. I don't expect to be able to solo a dragon or take on an entire base by myself, but I do expect to be able to kill a basic, humanoid mob that has NO ARMOR who is only using a stick as a weapon when I am full clad in chain mail armor that I spent all day tech'ing up to with iron weapons.
What MMO in the history of MMO's has you grind for 8 hours only to lose in a 1v1 against the starter basic mob?
If you would ever first read what devs post, what they are on to and what they ALLREADY know, but that needs at least two more brincells then a worm has.
Combat System is still in development, they know it, they talked about it multiple times and they will work on it in EA.
Thats what an EA is actually for.
Based on your posting, i dont expect you to seen any EAs before, dont you?
Shame, but its ok.
Just make a clickbait video with no point in it.
Also you seem to misunderstand what "early access" is, so I'll help you out:
Player Expectations -
Alpha Testing (Free/NDA) - Core systems are not complete, test what is done so we can tweak things mid-dev.. also we want feedback on how we could dev things
Beta Testing (closed)(Free/loose NDA) - Core systems are mostly in place but we need to find bugs.. so many bugs.. also we want feedback on how we decided to dev things.
Beta Testing (open)(Free/Pre-order/no NDA) - Network stress test, random bugs we missed, system dev is mostly done for launch.
Early Access (Paid/Pre-Ordered) - We don't have all the stuff we wanted for launch fully done like some end-game content or stretch system goals (new systems that aren't core AND/OR vertical dev of existing systems).. The game is mostly nearly all playable but we need a cash infusion to hit all those last launch check boxes.
Launch - Last bits were polished up, here's the official, now we start working on updates/expansions/next title.
Sorry but combat being a placeholder is unacceptable.
