How do you build these kinds of pillars?

I'm trying to build a spiral staircase in the middle of a tower and this looks like it is probably the strongest pillar arrangement the I can use as the central column. I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it, though.

Thanks!

I dont know how that particular one is done & unfortunately I dont know how to post screenshots on here, but for a round pillar. There a multiple ways of making it round if you dont mind using a lot of stone & clay. You can use "narrow cylindrical foundation & staying on center for the middle alter the spin by one & keep placing & it will make a perfect round pillar. You can also use Short stone wall Foundation & spin it by one from the center & it will also make a round pillar & depending which side you use for the center & the outside the pattern on the wall will change. I tried to drop screenshot on here for you to see but I am dumb & dont know how to make them show up on here. :)
Also there is several ways to make your stairs using stone or wood or sometimes I will use both to make them look cool.
Those look like the square pillar foundations possibly with a wood pole center. I would hazard a guess they use a scaffold of 1/2 ed single block horizontal poles and rotated them a bit as they went around and used those to "place' a first row of pillars then just stacked on top, its similar to how I build circular towers. The best way to figure out how to build stuff I found is see how you can put blocks and items using half moves on the other parts IE you can build a solid floor of wood just by using the different half points on logs placed at an angle.
I wanted to post an update because I figured out how to build them, yesterday.

1) Place a vertical wood pole.
2) Place horizontal poles or short horizontal poles, radiating out from the base of the vertical pole. Space the rotations like you are placing edge trim on 6 triangular foundation pieces that would be also be radiating out from the base of the vertical pole.
3) Place six more vertical poles, either at the ends of the short horizontal poles or at the first position out from the initial vertical pole along the long horizontal poles.
4) Delete your short or long horizontal poles.
5) Place pillar foundations around your vertical poles, aligning the six outer pillars to face along the horizontal poles you deleted.

Although the pillars look great and are well reinforced, unfortunately there's no way attach the triangular floor pieces for the stairs to the internal pillar and there's no way to place the outer pillars after you've placed the stairs. So, I can't use it to create the internal pillar for a spiral staircase.
I use a wood pole to build the stairs then place the stone over it, used to use the stone pillar now use the circular foundation.
