This sounds like the issue we noted on our Discord-Server. Something seems to be missing. So:
1. First check with taskmanager that all game instances and EAC instances are closed.
2. Have no other games active in background
3. Deactivate Antivirus tools (all, if you have more as one)
4. Add Pax Dei and EAC to the whitelist of your anto virus tools
5. Check and verify the game integrity via the properties in the Library for Pax Dei
6. Restart PC (of course also make sure you always have system and graphic drivers up to date)
If the issue persists, please open a ticket on our support site [support.playpaxdei.com]. We would then need individual logs to further investigate the situation.
Honestly I have done all of that, some a ridiculous amount of times. I really don't think it has anything to do with my system. There are plenty of others having the same issue and I have seen no real resolution...Idk I'll just wait it out while hoping i find an answer..I guess.
It for sure has something to do with your system and the game. If something is not loading, but loading for dunno...5000 other players... it is something on your end. Not necessiarily caused by you personally. But something on your system gets not installed or blocked.
I copy something I saw yesterday, if you still interested. try it? Thats from discord.
Make a quick analysis:
1) While Pax Dei is running, check your task manager that the app is there. It probably will be under status 'suspended'
2) If so, go to the directory and you will see easy anti-cheat folder. Go inside and try to run the program. It probably won't start.
3) If so, you just found your problem! (for some reason easy anti-cheat is not downloading properly).
4) In the game folder, delete easy anti-cheat folder and delete it from your bin. Then verify integrity of the game files.
5) After that just try to launch the game. Worked out perfectly for me. (I read all forums but no one mentioned this way of fixing. I was already about to give up and refund the game)
It obviously does have something to do with your system. Because Pax Dei works just fine for me.
I have a custom built rig with no 3rd party bloatware/adware anti-virus installed on it.
From what I can tell, all the people who reported they found fixes uninstalled anti-virus and had store-bought PC's/laptops that were pre-loaded with bloatware.
