You go harvest for a couple hours, then can build a few foundations and a couple walls. Anything beyond a tiny house will require days to weeks for a normal person to build. Assuming they stick with the game after the realization of how much grind there is.
Most of the abandoned buildings aren't because people don't know how to build, it is because they abandoned the game or are in the tedious process of gathering the materials.
I don't see that happening cause they want to charge you per plot on the servers. That's the plan and its not changing. At least on the plus side, those incomplete houses won't be around much cause who would pay monthly for that.
They simply can't do it with their plot system. They'd have to change their monetization.
I'm sure there are many technical reasons as to why they can't do this as well. I do not want to support a MMO that intentionally divides the player base. So, I'm against it.
can see it now: a list of dozens & dozens of locked servers (likely mostly Asian build servers) & the public ones all empty, ya no thanks. Also what protections would players have if they were removed w/o warning & locked out of a private server having spent x time on a given build, this would be abused.
Whilst i do agree abandoned builds ruin the views this needs to be addressed properly not with silly insignificant criteria's for deletion, dev needs to stop p/ussyfooting around & start laying ground work for clear hard deletion criteria ie: Inactive 30 days plot/s removed & build made public for example - [characters are retained]
And even when i feel like a broken record since weeks, I will never stop to say that until someone can really make a logical argument why they should care about player numbers so early in the development. We are only testers who want to support the developers with their feedback, that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.
