Limestone and granite building?

Since limestone and granite do not have many uses, yet the rocks are fairly common, I'm wondering if there is a plan to use these later for higher tier building? I assume limestone would be 1 tier higher than half-timber and granite would be 2 tiers above it. Perhaps limestone could also be used in making mortar, as it was/is used for rendering in RL.

We can only guess, but I reckon those stones will be used for better foundations/pillars/support structures, so that higher buildings and towers can be built.

As you mentioned the use for limestone, one could make "mortar brick foundations" or somesuch.

Or of course decorative items. Although I would have thought they put in marble for that.
