One thing I like about mining in pvp zone, is that in the multiple times I've been there I've only ever seen one other player who was mining.
If they introduce some fast travel system to it, it would be crowded like the normal iron nodes in pve areas, where I often see a multiboxer with 4 alts running behind him and half the time the nodes are gone.
I want pvp zone to remain a pain in the backside to get to, so I can mine in peace and not go running around searching for nodes that no one has mined already, or always on edge in case a group of bored kids show up to gank me. Fast travel would be like. "We finished mining for today boiz, lets go camp pvp and gank a miner and hope he says something salty so we can report him." Without fast travel its "I want to watch some anime and don't want to run for 30 min in the hope finding a miner, coz I've not slept 3 days straight while mining to get pvp geared and I would probably fall asleep half way there."
Those who would spend more time building and defending those towers would sell on the market the iron to others who farm other materials in the PvE provinces.
Fair enough criticism right there, if they don't plan on doing anything for travel, then I would at least like the conversion ratio to impure to regular iron to be tweaked since it would most likely help player retention along the way for the far out provinces. mining 1000 impure just to get 10 pure is rather ridiculous.
