It's really easy to cheese a bear. I had one next to my base before this patch. Would just get it to chase me, climb on my foundation and kill it with spear. You can also cut down a tree and stand behind it. The bear will just stand behind the fallen tree and not do anything while you hit it with spear or arrows.
What's final fantasy have to do with this game? They are completely different player base. It should be a priority to wipe inactive bases, since at best they are causing lag with hundreds of placeables and making the map look like a building site. At worst they are blocking passages and forcing players like myself to build staircase around them.
If you want a bubble where everyone shares your opinion, you can join the game's discord.
if you want actual opinions about a game, you can check the steam community hub.
I don't go to steam forums for games I never play. Would actually feel strange for me, if I went to idk Palworld forum and started complaining, why can't they change the graphics from cartoonish looking, to more adult, so adults without a low mental age could play the game? It would never happen so why bother. I don't see a game I don't like and decide I need to join their forum and tell them how it should be. My time is too valuable for that.
Your time is too valuable for that, yet you spend hours defending the game.
You do understand that a lot of people who are complaining about the game have been following this game since 2019-2020 right? and were actually looking forward to playing/buying it.
But since the monetization changes and state the game is in now in early-access do not like where the game is heading and want to voice that opinion.
I think you should worry more about the people who are trying to silence all complaining (from people that own or not own the game),
Than you have to worry about a few troll posts here and there.
Edit: I honestly do not even think Pax Dei is popular enough to attract mainstream trolls that move from game to game, most of the people that are commenting here had the game on their wishlist (some for a very long time)
I don't spend hours. Few min at most a day. I type fast.
What direction is the game taking that they don't like? All I ever hear about is that there are no quests, no npc, grind is too long, pve/pvp is broken, game too expensive and subs are a bad idea.
I don't want quests or npc, unless the npc are perhaps thralls player can use like conan exiles. Grind is fine apart from leatherworking. pve/pvp broken because game is in early stages. Game is at expensive end, but not crazy. Star ciitizen costs a lot more if wanting to be competitive and its been unfinished for years like 7 days to die. Neither will probably be ever complete. Cash shop with cosmetics (skimpy armor) would be better than subs. But even then subs are a long way away and maybe devs will change opinion by then.
I'm not entirely happy about everything. Feels like last patch addressed stuff that's not really a priority for me and not happy about the bear near my base being removed. Was easy farm for me.
Would really prefer if they gave us sliders to make more attractive females, some skimpier lore friendly clothes and removed the diapers and allowed us to craft underwear. Since I'm breaking rocks or chopping trees most of the time, I want some eye candy to look at, not a generic chainmail or plate, that looks odd to be worn while not fighting, but no incentive to take it off.
And if the devs change their opinion it will be because people have been complaining.
not because people say everything is perfect.
I'm glad we agree.
- 7 days to die has released their 1.0 a few days ago, you should check it out.
Problem is. In many games I've seen devs listen to those who shout the loudest and take the game into the wrong direction. Often they either listen to streamers, who for some reason they assume are democratically elected representatives of the gamers. Or they listen to zoomers with catgirl profile pictures, who have attention deficit and need constant stimulation with quests and other bs. They jump around in circles at banks when their bored and spam everywhere online, assuming everyone shares their opinion.
Dev's see these two groups crying the loudest and assume that other players want the same changes as them and end up ruining a game. I just hope it does not happen to Pax and it stays true to its intentions.
Unrelated but another pet hate of mine is how so many games, push everyone to use twitch. They give away unique cosmetic items, for watching some streamer on twitch. They don't realise some are simply not interested in watching someone else play a game. I know you can just have it in the background and not watch, but the principle is wrong. Worse is that some games allow streamers to play the game for free if they have enough simps.
i think the main problem that most people have regarding direction is that it dont seem to be going anywhere. the progress of the game dont match the 60+devs, time, money used and the price. if they start with sub in a year, it will most likely still be in an alpha state, subbing an alpha test, or a beta for that matter, will not sit well with alot of people
Never did i say having something on your wishlist made you the target audience.
But following a game for years and then being disappointed in the way (state?) it launched, is the reason a lot of people are here "complaining".
And minimizing everything they're saying and just calling them trolls wont make them go away. (Or maybe it will and the game will just die a slow death)
Its so funny that you (and many others) keep bringing up the "you're not the target audience" like you know any of us. its just really some tribalist sycophant bull
Bro, don't mind these buffoons because they'll die on their hill no matter how or what this game turns to. You should see their Discord where they're basically saying Steam reviewers are just trolls who know nothing about games especially the vision and path of Pax Dei. Like...lol, how delusional can you be?
I've read a lot of the reviews, the negative ones to be exact, and people complaining about janky crappy combat, empty world, no socializing methods, endless grinding for gear that is ultimately caca because mobs will always destroy you, gear that will also require you to grind like mad for materials for an RNG crafting system that can fail 50% of the time even when you have 90% success rates..which results in you losing 80% of the materials in the craft.
Then you get those white knighters that herald this game as something revolutionary and fun..which it isn't. Especially claiming "Oh once trading comes in, it'll be a game changer...". Why? There is literally no currency in the game, everything can be gathered, just trading mats for mats like a bartering system is suppose to be game changing? Lols.
No game is ever going to be perfect and meet everyone's expectations and trying to force it to change into something it's not won't work. I'm fairly sure if many of those who have this game in their wish list but will never buy it, had found their perfect soul mate game already, they would be playing it instead.
