Most stupid build system
I like the building thin very much. So I rebuild my House to build it with a 3m and a 1m Wall so I can place some Chandliers without bumping them with my head. Now I tried to build the 2nd floor with a roof but now everything ist red and I cannot build any roof tiles or roof support tiles. How stupid is this?
Is there any way to overcome this or are we limited to tiny buildings?

Yes, you have to build pillars to reinforce your structure, like in real life.
Pillars from ground to top, vertical + horizontal if you want.

This is not stupid at all :)

No, no I just build a 3m wall on a foundation(green), on top another 1m wall(yellow), here goes my ceiling. Then another 3m wall on top (orange) and if I try now to build anything on top it is red and crubles.

Do you try to build the ceiling before your other floors are finished?

And like he said, you need pillars.

People are building up to 6 Walls just fine...

In fact, the building system works great and very realistic.

Don't get discouraged, just keep try different things and techniques. The chandelier thing is absolutely easy to overcome.

build some pillars, use wood supports and beams . my walls are 4 high with a roof with no problem at all.

you can use the 'small foundations' (1x3x3) as pillars.

Yes, I used the 1x1x3 stone foundations to overcome the problem but imho it is a little bit ugly with the stone between the half-wood walls.
And imho it is absolut not necessary to have 1x1 to support a house wit a 2nd floor. If the 0,5x0,5 wood or stone pillars would spend enough support everything would be fine and pretty.

Maybe if you bothered to create a proper frame and foundation for your structure, you'd have a more favorable result.

The most important thing at the moment are the support and cross beams, which have to be integrated into the masonry. Which is actually nonsense, since a half-timbered house element has already integrated this.
The statics are not yet as in the RL and should be revised again. It's not possible for me to build higher than 3 floors + roof. It doesn't matter whether I use beams, stone foundations or something like that.
The only thing that can be made higher is the large stone foundations, but that doesn't make sense in a 2x2 room because then you don't have any room left :)

do you live in a wooden house then as my house does not have any pillars and only a couple of horizontal iron girders. The walls themselves hold the structure in place.

Stop making so much sense!

I live in a timber framed house. Can confirm you need beams and rafters from wall to wall, holding up the ceiling. Same if its open plan with no ceiling. Only alternative would be a dome.
