No trade, no economy ?
How can there be no Trade-System in a player only economy game ?
And Beta or EA State isnt an excuse.. Its a must have in this kind of game or the whole game makes no sense as a MMO..

Great thing is - just talk to your neighbors or others. Tell them what you need. Offer them something.

The old fashioned way for now. Worked for millennia.

Also there's a roadmap which lays this out pretty clearly. I mean this is a game you're interested in (and or purchased), so I'm sure you read that, right?

No coins => no trade. No efficient trade I mean.

This is one of my biggest gripes. To release something as EA that doesn't have any defining features of your game at all is weird, to say the least.

No market/trading at all. Just an option to drop stuff.
Chat's super-limited and extremely janky--things jump around in different order all the time.

For a game that's supposed to be based on player interactions, this is a huge mistake, IMO. Every day that passes without either makes me more and more suspicious of the development.

Players interactions are set to a minimum, surprisingly..

yep. i was astounded they'd ship with practically 0 player to player interaction systems, given this is marketed as a social mmo. there's really no excuse. although (being a game dev myself) i am guessing that it is probably first on their list of next-up implementations as it should. if otherwise then wtf. lol

yeah its pretty strange they would bring it to steam in such a state. first impression lasts and so on. ive been longing for a good mmo for years so i hope im wrong on this but im thinking they did it cos they didnt really have a choice, either for economic reasons, or cos they realized making a functioning and successful mmo is not that easy as they thought and decided to throw in the towel and cash in
