Dev team compares the pricing model to World of Warcraft. Whether the game compares to WoW is debetable.
idk now though - I dislike paying monthly..
but I might for this?
The main game setting which may or may not be comparable to this one is:
Wurm Online..
and it has a interesting means of paying for a plot of land..
But can do well enough - ofc not the realistic graphics environment of this -
but the Neverwinter Enhanced would be fine for me -
depending what I think of the price and if my community would get into Pax Dei
Anyhow, I did get the master package -
We'll see..
They wanted feedback, a lot of people warned them that this game was no where near ready for an early access. Yet they are releasing the same alpha 2 build with a 40€ price tag.
If you aren't gonna listen to feedback, don't ask for it?
If you feel the game is not yet at the level you want, we heartily recommend you don't buy now and wait for a later date in the EA or until the full release.
Receiving feedback on something does not automatically mean we need to act as the feedback says. It means we should re-evaluate, and the end result from re-evaluating might be to continue as originally planned. We are following our own vision after all.
TawGrey from WOR ?. Hope to catch up with you in game on Pax, usually its on the battlefield
That was exactly what I was trying to say, apologies if I wasn't clear. If many people give the same feedback that means "we should re-evaluate" not "we should do that". Re-evaluating does not mean making a change, it means evaluating the situation again. This was in response to the poster equating "why do you not listen to feedback" with "why do you not follow the feedback".
From developers point of view, the game should be made also for those who wait "until the full release" and cannot give feedback.
From players point of view, it is frustrating when those who want to help during Early Access see the game going into a different direction.
Edit:
If I do not join during Early Access, how will developers know why I don't and what they should change to make me want to play?
Good points! You can also give feedback e.g. here, but the feedback section in our Discord is probably the best. You do not need to be in Early Access to leave feedback there.
the big question is, is it later subscription-based system after early access + buy2 play. or is it only buy2play in EA???
What I do mind is when games start pay-walling certain parts of the game behind tiered subscriptions, having certain game features locked behind different amounts of payment is a huge red flag, it should be 1 subscription price for everyone with equal access to everything for everyone. Having 'premium' access to gameplay when you are already charging a base game price and a basic monthly fee is not gonna fly.
