"Almost" useless, if you grind long enough and hard enough, your green can be much stronger than purple. I have nicole with green bloodline vampire, and blue bloodline swordman, already gone through 5 reincarnation with each reincarnation getting all full talent training carry over, now her attack can reach 5-7k with critical over 150-250k.
Its all up to you, its a long and TEDIOUS process, but after second reincarnation and with the gold parameter in their talent, its all worth it.
when they have low health, they will return to the city, most of the times they will train, different from going to town to do ENT, EAT, REST, or SOCIALIZE, so sometimes is better to send them to a an enemy where you know they would lose, dont make them respawn tho, most of the time they would just eat or just sleep and return to the field.
or just make a schedule, myself, every 2 ship trip, I usually close the portal and after 2 ship trip, I open it again, so the activity inside and outside the battle map and city map are balanced.
Its a micro management game, so its up to you on how you want to be creative with your management.
Trading house start losing items for sale when the second ship arrive If I'm not mistaken, so I tend to open the portal when the countdown for the second ship to leave.
