Adventurer gear
Why do adventurers never buy gear? Is there some way I can influence them to do so? They are sitting on 100K gold and just barely using it and their need to buy weapons and armor is always at 0 but they just don't do it. So far I have always had to just donate them gear since they never actually put their gold to use and fulfill the need to buy equipment. Is this a bug of some kind?

Seems like it. Although my armour stores sell out instantly the second I place the items down. seems like they're all being bought by tourists. What i do is not sell any gold gear and donate them to adventurers instead.

Yeah thats what I have been doing too, it just seems odd that they have tons of money and a character need to use it, but do not.

they do upgrade gear eventually but not as you would expect. think of it sort of like bags being full they have a routine going on in the background. they could very well say buying armor or weapon even if they have the highest rated gear in the game. it's a slow process if you leave that to automation much like bloodlines or enhancement. the other problem you have to contend with is tourists and rovers. now that we can't get ban all tourists/rovers when you put up items to benefit adventurers you have to produce more to account for waste towards them. it's not a total loss as you gain profits.

Yeah, I can see what you are saying, it just seems an odd way to implement the system as a whole I guess.

I'm more confused why the weapon store does not seem to ever get adventurers or tourists. I have had a store which hasn't decreased in stock for a very long time, whereas armor stores empty shelves in seconds. The adventurers/tourists do seem to have an unfilled need for weapons, but noone goes to buy any even the default boxes.

This does seem like an issue as well, weapons are bought but extremely slow in comparison. The issue with the boxes is that they give random loot, and even worse, random weapons. So if you have an adventurer finally buy a random weapon box after 2 years of them not buying anything, they may roll a crap weapon that they cant even use. This really needs some kind of revamp.

Weapons have one slot compared to five slots that the armor shop sells. Armor shop is indeed a huge profit generator where if able you will likely have more than one.

I might be a bit dipsy, but I end up selling everything cause I've just got so much stuff I can't be bothered scrolling, so if my guys n gals aren't buying armour or weapons, I can't be watching all the time lol. I think they do every now and again, I see something different, but whether it's better than what I gave them who knows :/

That is a good point, it just seems odd that tourists even have armor and weapon slots I guess. I just wish my adventurers would actually well gear themselves atleast starting out instead of hoarding hundreds of thousands of gold.
