Local co-op with none gamers?

Would this be an adequate game to play with my non-gamer wife on the TV or is it more complex than using the left mouse button?

You can play local multiplayer game with just a mouse. :)

You can play local co-op with 2+ controllers but the controllers won't be assigned to specific players. In other words, you should only use your controller when it is your turn (or you can troll other players if you wish so ^^)

Went ahead and bite.. TBH at first we were disappointed we weren't working on or fighting it out on the same quilt / board but then realizing we can mess with each other stealing tiles it clicked.

The longer we played the more fun it got, and certainly a much slower pace than we are used to we ended up talking a lot more than usual while enjoying the game.

Local multiplayer doesn't allow you to play against each other on the same quilt?

Hey, you never play on the same quilt both in original board game Calico and in our Quilts and Cats of Calico. Each player has their own board where they make the quilt and you compete to see who makes the best one. Local multiplayer has no impact on that.
