Hello,
Settlers 6 has an unofficial patch that fixes quite a few things in the game and the editor and also adds new features.

If your game is from Steam, you will have to use Steamless on your executable first and then, after that, you can use the S6Patcher.

The file you need to patch is called "Settlers6.exe" and you can find it in the installation folder of the game.

thank you for your patience. I have used the steamless and then start the patcher , choose correct version (OV&HE). Then choose my steam folder , steamapps, common, settlers, data, base, bin and then choose said exe , the patcher replies "invalid executable has been choosen, aborting".

I have no clue where the error lies now. It is the history edition from Steam.
I will figure it out and post solution later, thanks

Ive made the folder to written possible. I also checked the version , is ok , is 1.71.4289

The History Edition executable is called Settlers6R.exe, unpack it with Steamless and then select "Patch History Edition", the middle button of the three.

Did you notice it also says "does NOT work with the History Edition from Steam!" when mousing over the middle button ? a bit funny and confusing. Thanks for the help

That was an old version that had that text, however the latest one from GitHub should have that fixed. Please check if you got the latest version.

Great that it worked out for you!
