Anime vs Evil: Apocalypse

How to fight
I can walk around and be chased by zombies, but how do I fight them? Mouse and keyboard appear to do nothing.

How the heck do fights work in this game! Literally all that I can do is run around defenselessly, eventually having every zombie chase me and having achieved nothing.

Then I die, and even the money that I collected along the way is gone.

You start a level with always a first weapon nearby, laying on a table or a crate.
There's a map that allows you to find tiny stores scattered around but you can actually simply seeing them while exploring and there're even cones of light piercing the sky to help you navigate the area.

Mouse: aim, clicks and pewpews

Keyboard: move and jump/run and dodge/jump on something a little higher than usual and 80% of the enemies will stop moving while only the "greenies" will throw rocks at you for your cowardy

Find the flags that actually matters, fulfill their quotas, gets 3 or 4 digits (they won't change so at one point you'll just memorize them and might need 2 as None)

Get to the boss at the end - mouse&keyboard at their bests - WinWin.

I don't think I'm understanding 100% your concernes otherwise. This game is truly doesn't aim to be particularly convoluted or complicated... it's actually quite self-explainatory...? isn't it? Otherwise could you be more specific, please?

[Edit] Something that might come in handy and it's slightly too-well-hidden is the Game Controls Menu's voice, right in the middle in the Settings menu. That comes with some extra thingies that might both customize/increase your fun a little more.

Hi. If I understand you correctly, the answer is that you can, individually for my game, set up Steam Input for all non-XBox controllers like PS DualShock.

As I understand you want to know if the controls in other games will change if you activate Steam Input for my game? I don't know that for sure, the question doesn't really apply to the game :) I think you can create layouts for each game separately.
