Some help with the docks please
Quick question here. I have a couple contracts purchased from the world map. waiting for sea trade. I got the 250 2nd tier. I can build that land trade building (which is pretty useless IMO) but I can start to create the piers and port warehouses.
Got that going, used the administration tab to set up selling food. all good. boats will show up but not trade anything. If i click on the pier on the right it says no import sea building , nothing working or something or other.

Not sure how to proceed here. Are they talking about the sea trader that you need like 100 civs to make. Isn't that building under the foreign trade the same function as the land trader?

I figured everything i need to start sea trading was through the Pier section and contracts you buy to trade.

Sea Trader needs the Sea Trading Building which you correctly said find in the Foreign Trade menu. there are 3 buildings - 1. "goods swap" building, 2. Sea Trade "headquarter" and the 3. landtrade "headquarter" - you need to build number 2 (thats the import sea building) :) - pretty selfexplanatory -

in easier words: you need the main trading buildings where the bosses work ("managementbuilding = Sea Import House) and then the corresponding executive buildings where they recive bosses orders to unload/load goods ("employee workstations" = Pier & port warehouses)

i hope i was able to help lol
if so:
Happy Trading ;)

Thanks, I figured that was what I needed but I am no where near 100 civs right now, so would have taken awhile to sort it for myself lol
cheers
