Lost save after game crashed
Do we know how saves work in this game? I completed the 2nd mission and as it was loading back to the world map, my laptop crashed. When I loaded the game back, the entire save file/story mode save was gone! I definitely saved a few minutes before the mission ended. Do the saves overwrite themselves only and there are no backups stored? It's quite demoralising knowing that I have to restart the entire story mode. Are there any plans to implement normal save slots in the future? As it is, I do not dare to start again for fear of the same thing happening and losing all my progress.

I was playing the tutorial and something similar happened to me. I had created a new character with a different first and last name. The game crashed and when I logged back in, there was no trace of the game.
I think its impossible to save in the tutorial so far so that may expected. But it shouldn't be happening in the main game. Imagine reaching hours and hours into the campaign and losing everything to a crash. I really like the game and will be hoping for normal saves soon.
I played for like 4 hours and I was starting to have my city developed, I hopped to the empire map and when I went back to my city everything was removed, there was nothing, no resources, no houses, as if I did nothing so I have to restart the game. I saved the game many times during my playthrough.
Mein Savegame ist auch verschwunden. Nur der letzte durch das Spiel geladene Spielstand ist ladbar. Leider war dort meine Stadt noch nicht gegründet. Ich spiele im Storymodus.

I'm sorry about this. The tutorial is not savable.
Based on the feedback of you and others, I will work on an auto save.

So far I have made my own backup in the save game directory under a new folder. I guess you could make something like a default sub directory where the previous saves are moved to and time stamped during the regular save process... In game to load you would need another dialogue to ask your career which time stamp to retrieve.
