Normal saves, please?

Can we have a normal saves, like, slots, or names ones, anything to try things out and get back. Because I just totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up few hours of gameplay. Because I clicked save game, tried things, then exited the game going to work. Only to find out later that the save was overwritten automatically, and now the city is literally doomed.
And I'm not even sure I want to try again.

Yeah, for a game with an economy that can be THIS extremely finicky having save slots is an absolute MUST

I played for like 4 hours and I was starting to have my city developed, I hopped to the empire map and when I went back to my city everything was removed, there was nothing, no resources, no houses, as if I did nothing so I have to restart the game. I saved the game many times during my playthrough.

Agreed! I messed up about 2 hours into the 2nd Story mission so my rep has tanked, and money ultimately reached an endless dive. With only 1 save and auto-save on exit, my only option is to restart the entire story.

Please can we have multiple saves, or the ability to restart a mission?

Thank you for the great feedback. That helps a lot to improve the game. The svaegame issue is something I will work asap. It's not a very easy task I can do in 1 day but It has high priority.

So one can only build one city at a time?
Not do a bit in career mode and in sandbox at the same time? Try out different approaches, save them, and then decide which to use later for going on?
Is there a way to manually find the file(s) with the needed information, copy those to somewhere else and then exchange those files? And if yes, which files?

You can start several cities at the same time, but you only have one savegame per city/campaign

that mean, for every modus I can have 1 savegame? Can I have more than 1 save for the sandbox mode? But I suppose I can not rename the saves and therefore, if I continue 1 save, make a huge mistake, I cannot go back to the old version?

In Career mode.

I left the city to hire a theater company in the empire map, when I returned back everything was gone and not loaded except prestige points (203) and personal money (3032).

I made several attempts by exiting and re-entering even after a total restart, nothing to do: the city was lost (even if the file world_10_city_5.dat is present and with a size of 64,573 KB)

The April 30 patch had been installed and the Build ID: 18284177

I join the general request to make the saves differentiated, customizable and better managed: it is not acceptable to lose everything and not be able to resume the game from an existing save.

I took some screenshots but I do not know how to send them on this platform.

Same, except I left to look for trade contracts for my harbour. Can't restart the city either because there are no resources.
