It was recommended, so I saved it for when I had time to get my teeth into a new game. Played it for around half an hour, hated every second, and it crashed. Maybe I chose the "awful" path, I don't know, but I don't get why this game is so well received. All it made me feel was boredom and irritation at it's sloppy story-telling style. I can't really explain what I find so insufferable about it without spoiling the apparent premise. It kept switching between light comedy, tired cosmic horror, and forced profound. It did this purely with hacky cliches from all three approaches, never making me feel connected to anyone or anything. Maybe you have to be an anime fan or something to click with it's weird logic and align with it's specific expectations of the player.

The art is rough and drab which would be charming if the narrative and story-telling style weren't too. The music is just bleakly hopeful and the voice acting in't the worst I've heard, but neither were anywhere near as good as the reviews make out.

I've enjoyed several visual novel games. I'm really not that hard to please. I don't put time into negative reviews unless I really mean it. I jdon't get it. Sorry. I just really hate it.

Really cool idea, but very repetetive and the language is too "poetic".

This game felt like walking in on two people you've never met having an argument on the verge of splitting up. Then they turn to you and ask you to choose a side when you have like zero information. No matter what choice you make, picking a side or trying to stay out of it, you just get dragged deeper and deeper into their toxic tangled mess of lies, blaming, manipulation, and passive aggressiveness. This goes on and on until they wear themselves out to the point where nobody know or cares what the hell is going on anymore.

Sounded interesting at first, but then I figured out that the game was basically making you do the same repetitive stuff to get different endings. The story didn't grab me enough.

Bought coz of the raving eviews. Got nothingburger, "you sit on my throne unaware it was borne of lies" ass tumblresque writing with overdone anime eng dub voice acting i am PISSED. No offense to those who enjoyed it but just be warned going into this because my expectations going in were UP there. It's not completely unbearable, its just nothing special or particularly profound imo. It has replayability - simple enough structure to follow, making slightly different choices to collect all the endings. Good enough visual novel. Maybe buy when the price goes down. BUT 10 out of 10 on the matt berry voice
