Slay the princess the movie
would it be cool if you could watch the slay the princess like a movie. like if you it to play in the back while you do other things. i think it be cool if the game could be like a movie where you choice from the main menu what princesss you want to see, it play from start to the end of the game. or something like that.

There are far too many choices to make (and/or points at which to make a choice) for this to be a sit-back-and-watch movie, which is what I love about his game, and part of why I was compelled to play it the first place.
That is why I consider it the best visual novel I have ever seen: because it has the level of interactivity I (perhaps unreasonably) expect of the medium.
Hmm.... Maybe some one like to fan made animation movie for fun.
Is it even possible? I thought the magic of the series was the fact we could make our choices, and those choices had consequences
But this game is a visual novel. It's already like a movie, interactive movie I would say. And if we talking about choices it's too personal. What will the canon be? Tower? Damsel? Thorn? Princess and Dragon? How about multiple endings? It's too personal. Let everyone choose their own path.
Although the concept base of Slay the Princess is a good for movie.

Netflix made an interactive movies Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.

So there is no canon. You choose things, and watch the outcome.
Oh, wait-- I had another reply written, but I think we're all misinterpreting OP's post here. I don't think they want like a fully produced actual movie, they're suggesting an option in the game that's essentially 'replaying' the game on autopilot, making choices and such without player input and just watching the story play out. I do think that it'd be cool to go back and revisit routes you've already played without having to remember each exact option you chose, since it seems like the game already remembers pretty much every choice you've made in that route. I don't really see the devs adding it as a feature though, unfortunately.

I don't think I misinterpreted; Such a "replay" feature would likely only replay the playthrough you just did. The fun/point of this game is coming back to do something new-and-different, at which point you must be the one selecting how things will go, no buts about it (unless you're watching someone else play, which is kind of like a "movie").
From what I know, the Quarry is a game with a similar feature to what you're describing, so it is something I can imagine. I don't think there's really a chance of that feature being added in the future, but as an alternative you could watch videos of different routes online or do what I did and invite a friend to play the game with you. Watching a friend play and talking to them about what they're seeing and doing in the game is a lot of fun because you get to see how their thought process and decisions are similar to or different from the ones you made. :AdversaryExcited:
