Not Sure If Bug? (New Ending)

Okay so everything below is a huge spoiler, just unsure how else to ask about it.

In the new ending when you choose all five aggressive options against The Shifting Mound and turn the tables on Her you get the choice to destroy her or reach a hand to her. Choosing to destroy her just instantly flips to the next screen, no sounds or effects or transitions, just one frame The Shifting Mound is there and the next "She is gone."

It seemed rather sudden, anticlimactic, and disappointing to be the intended choice of story progression, so I wasn't sure if it was a bug. If it isn't then so be it, but on the off chance it is I wanted to mention it.

"She is gone" and nothing else? I had a tiny bit more after that. I actually don't even remember seeing the text "She is gone" , but it DID instantly switch to a new screen

That's kind of the point of that ending. You've become so powerful in comparison to her that you're able to instantly end her in an instant. Entirely of your own power.

I'm personally not a fan of the new ending. It lacks any of the interesting stuff of the other endings. It just feels like a cruel/evil ending.

That makes a certain sense. It definitely feels weaker than the other endings but seems like perhaps it shouldn't have been? But that's why I wasn't sure if it was a bug or just the intended choice.
