[NO SPOILERS PLEASE] Do Endings persist across save files?

Just wondering if endings that you get across different save files (via Save Scumming at points where choices diverge, I mean) persist and count towards getting whatever you would call the "true" ending.

I already know what the game is generally "really" about (The Great Quiet and all... not going to say more than that so as to not spoil anyone else, nor invite anyone to spoil anything for me) but please answer in the most general, spoiler free way possible.

No. If you load your save or select New Game, your progress resets to that point.

No, there is no kind of persistent save in this game. Although things can get a little meta within itself, a fresh playthrough from new game is perfectly fresh. The game remembers and/or saves nothing outside of any given playthrough.

I figured as much, thank you for making it certain for me. Guess that means there's no point having multiple save files. Now I just need to remember which endings I already did on my main file and which I did on side ones...
