What's the symbolism?
There are a couple of recurring things in the game. The blade, the cabin, the chains and the mirror. I have an idea what they may represent but wanted other peoples input.

Not sure I have it perfectly right either, there are some obvious ones, but others less so. So this is my observation:

So we know Narrator cleaved cycle of life and death into you and the princess. You were created to be eternal silent void (aka "Long Quiet" and why in narrator's successful plan you just become mindlessly "happy" to exist doing nothing inside the cabin), Princess is transformation, change and death(hence why narrator refers her as "cruelty itself" and why she changes based on your perception of her), voices are shards of you(likely because you are new being that narrator tries to manipulate to do his plan and you developing personality splinters your mind to create new voices in your head. Voice of hero is first one likely because you subconsciously want to save the princess), so that implies the black mirror reflects what you truly are as whole (aka the void between loops). The visions of you changing into bloating corpse that then withers in the mirror is likely reflection of both your and Princess natures as having been one being representing the cycle of life and death. Assuming I haven't misread completely and Mirror represent instead Echo's existence or something. Chains represent that place is made to hold two beings captive, you and the princess, but unlike Princess you are allowed some freedom so hence empty chain. Blade is representation of power granted to you to kill princess(hence why you can't ever slay Princess without it being involved somehow) Princess is a Princess likely because you(the Long Quiet) is subconsciously longing for her since you two love each other due to having been one originally. Cabin itself is just representation of the construct made to contain you two and it changes to reflect its hold over princess weakening.

The part I don't really know though is why you are a giant raven as well and why Echo appears as raven in the mirror. Like I get Long Quiet has symbolism about representing Eternity, but not sure if Ravens fit that symbolism somehow. Like is implication that Narrator was literally a raven or is it just symbology I don't fully get.

But yeah no clue how close or far I am on some details
