How mature is the game?
on a scale of 1 to 10..?
1 being anime full of uwu and 10 let's say Disco Elysium.

I'd say a solid 9.5 - it gets really philosophical

Graphic depictions of violence, mild gore, nude backs, ehhh maybe a 5?

depends what you mean by mature. Its got gore and body horror. but no explicit nudity. some swearing.

The story in the game is a love story itself. How mature depends on how you look at it.
Art and gore? Not scary just beautiful in its unique way. Combine it with the good voice acting and sound. I give it 5
Disco Elysium isn't completely mature. So many silly things you can do in that game. As far as narrative, it's quite good though. I'd say the variations are pretty close to Disco Elysium as in your choices seem to matter. Even small choices you do influence the narrative in the future as it'll bring up even small details you did or did not do.
So it has quality of Disco Elysium choice at least. It's no where close to a tales of game for uwu anime.

Thanks for the replies. A 5 sounds perfectly fine. And I know that Disco isn't the best 10 example of maturity, I just couldn't think of anything else on the spot.

You will see blood, hear cracking bones, and other "SAW" like things. I recommend playing this if you can watch a splatter horror movie without needing a therapy afterwards.
Seriously!

The developers are on record as being big Disco Elysium fans, and Scarlet Hollow even has a few explicit references to it.

Without spoilering anything, I'd say due to its philosophical nature I'd put it on 8-9 side

Blood and gore doesn't necessarily equal maturity. I've seen (and dropped) bloody anime that were full of cringe and inappropriate dialogues that ruined the immersion.

Maybe be more specific in what you mean by mature, because there are various things people look at. Nudity? Violence? Humor?

I got Disco Elysium vibes just from the voices

What Disco Elysium and Slay the Princess have most in common is the deep philosophical, existential themes. I could see someone handling the violence, blood, viscera, etc, but finding either game confusing / boring because of those over-arching themes.

But there's no boinking, no allusions to boinking, no swearing (that I remember?). There is gore, but it's not gore-for-gores-sake, as in most gory games. I saw side-breast once, but it's not in a sexual context.

10 for sure. Some battles shown quite gory and realistic. The Princess is smart and she shows it during conversations, creating nice experience... Which i guess will be hard to understand for kids and even harder if you don't know english very well. There is sarcasm, word playing, split personality with many sides etc, multi-meaning.

Some say it's philosopchical, well it depends on route you play. Sometimes it is just non stop straight action. Some times flame war, curses and hate.

Disco, i would not compare to it. Princess should be compared to Agony, which is 11 of 10.

I can't contribute much but there's definitely some swearing.
