Who is the best Princess?

Spoilers, obviously.

Its Thorn. Its pretty obviously Thorn. I am curious to see what others think though. I imagine someone is probably really into Tower though, for example.

Of all the Princesses though, I fell Thorn has the most distinct and developed arc. While most of the other Princesses, like the Adversary/Eye of the Needle or the Spectre/Nightmare have a clear thoroughline of design, they are all pretty linear in how they build on each other. The Princess>Witch>Thorn path more then builds on itself though, there is, like, an actual character arc there. It presents a snippet of real character growth, a back-and-forth dynamic between the player and princess. It more then any other makes me wish the game stretched the loops out more to see more then the fragments of each loop that we do see.

Mmmm I gotta say Thorn was by far my favourite on my first playthrough pre-update. Post-update it’s a three way tie between Thorn, Den and Princess/Dragon. Thorn is self-explanatory and I just LOVE the progression. I always give my girl Witch a knife cos she deserves it <3 I’m sorry for what I did let’s mend it! But something about taking mercy on a big sad lion creature in Den and helping her out of a pickle after she tried to eat you is so. Mwah it’s perfect, just two instinct-driven creatures coming to an alliance and hanging out.
And the sheer horror of seeing yourself in Dragon and realising oh my god THAT’S her pov every time? Unable to do a thing while this huge unreadable scary bird man who won’t stop staring comes to stab you?? It’s so good also I love TLQ’s design he’s so…. large freaky bird. Spectre is so lovely so it’s nice to see her get some progression in this one.
