Can't Unlock Research Centre or Explorers Hut

I'm playing for the first time since the last update. I got to the Scientific Method step, but I don't have access to the research centre or explorers hut to build them. Please help

The research tree is accessible once you build a field laboratory. You need to analyze plants to get your first science points and obtain the research center or explorers' hut.

The research center is more useful as your first research since it allows you to produce science points.
