look for Properties and left click it.
a new window should pop up, look for Betas on the left side of it, might be the fourth option down, and click it to change the window
There should be an option for Betas, a dropdown menu defaulting to "None." click that and change it to what's needed, "beta used to test new features."
game might update afterwards. that's normal.
No it doesn't.
I'm on the beta branch, and it's better, but I still crash every ~5-10 Minutes. :-/
What fixed it, i unchecked the destruction particle and vsync and didn't get anymore crash. Still was getting a slideshow sometime on the sun and big planet with a 1000 mini me and my pc bluescreen of death but he do that sometime, i figure it's heat related and the game is not really related to that.
Edit: Forgot to mention you have to uncheck it everytime you launch the game because game don't seem to save the change. don't know if it's beta branch related.
I didn't have this problem the first playthrough though...
I guess I learned how to lvl faster and now it crashes xD
Very annoying though, can't play more or less...
Also, balance out the "Shiny blocks", they will destroy you, that is only for endgame
However, this made me also realize that these settings (and the sound settings) are not saved even when quitting the game the regular way.
I've noticed that mining with the laser alone does not crash the game even if thats more blocks per second I destroy and much more particles.
Maybe its the explosions from the "explosive drill" perk?
Ive found if i dont ram into the planets then i wont crash and im fine, if i start and do that for a few planets then i crash.
I would guess lowering resolution should help to maybe?
