30M Block Broken Achievement is too high. Blocks Broken reward tree needs scaling down.
I've beaten the game, 100% bought the skill tree, 750+ cores, but only have 5.8M blocks broken. This seems off, and I think the Blocks Broken reward tree could use some scaling down by about 2/3 so the top reward is at 10M blocks broken.

Steam Global Achievement stats seem to support the idea that this is off. About 30% of players have beaten the game which takes considerable time. 15% have 500+ cores. Yet only 2% have gotten to 30M blocks. Big disparity.

Thanks for a fun, interesting, game. This is my only negative feedback on it.

I agree on the block broken achievement. I beat the game in 5 hours, with about 2 mil blocks broken. Not sure what the best planet to farm blocks on is, but after trying for a little while it went up to 2.3 mil, and I just don't care to put anymore time into it right now. If there were an end game block multiplier upgrade that made each block worth more, or if the goal were reduced, that'd be nice.

Side note: Steam achievements stats take a while to reach an equilibrium point for newer games in my experience. Stats for the first few weeks of a game are rarely accurate. However, I have seen other games where the achievement stats were impossible, like more people having the achievement to beat the game than an achievement you have to get before beating the game, so I don't know if it's steams fault those statistics are weird, or if in that case people cheated or something to get achievements out of order.

True, or some minions kills doesn't count to that ACM/milestones.
I beat the game with 600+ cores and just 4,5M blocks.

Where do you even check how many you have broken?

The author said in another thread that an update will come out to rebalance the achievement difficulty.

That's really good to hear. While my time with the game is up I think - there's honestly nothing to accomplish with the game for me - but I'm glad future players will enjoy a better balance!

It shows it on the "Milestones" page in the shop.

I'm over 600 cores with 2.8 million blocks broken, screw those achievements and the glitchy, crashy lagfest that comes with the end-game.

The achievement is 10 mil, not 30...point still stands on it being an insane figure tho.

Finished with 400 cores and only 2.5 million blocks broken.

What would be the fastest way to grind block numbers? Prestige level doesn't seem to make a difference to the number of blocks broken per run.

Use Cheat Engine, search for the value in memory representing your broken block count, and modify it. Worth noting the value seems to be stored as a float for some reason so the max value the game will reach from grinding is 16,777,216 but with Cheat Engine I could get the 40mil Milestone to get the Jerry avatar.

But how can you give me a tutorial?

Do at your own risk. May corrupt your save file if you fiddle with the wrong values in the wrong way.

- Start To The Core. Load into a level, hover over the left pop out panel so you can see the number of blocks you have broken then pause the game.
- Start Cheat Engine
- Select Process to attach to. Its the icon with a monitor and magnifying glass. Has flashing highlight when you open Cheat Engine.
- Scroll through processes to find the one that ends with "ToTheCore" and select it.
- Set "Value Type" to "Float"
- Set "Scan Type" to "Exact Value"
- Enter number of blocks you have broken into the "Value" textbox
- Click "First Scan"

At this point for me I had exactly one entry so I could right click it and select "Change value of selected address(es)" and put whatever I want. I was worried of bugging out the achievement so I set it at first to something like 9,999,990 and then proceeded to break the remaining blocks in game. For the 40mil milestone, I just set it to 40mil and I seemed to have been given all milestones.

If you have more than 1 entry in your scan results.
- Unpause the game and break some blocks.
- Open the broken blocks stats panel again and pause game.
- In Cheat Engine type in the new value of your broken blocks into the "Value" textbox and this time click "Next Scan".
- Repeat until you reduce the number found down to an entry that always changes to match your ingame score.

If you're unable to figure out your exact broken block count then instead of setting "Scan Type" to "Exact Value" play around with using "Value bigger than..." or "Value between..." for the First Scan, play the game a bit, then use a "Scan Type" of "Increased Value" or "Unchanged Value" for the Next Scans depending on if you did or didn't break blocks (not breaking blocks and doing other ingame actions can be helpful to eliminate wrong addresses).

Any suggestions for non cheating approch ?
Edit: tested a few planets and Uranium (Mortem) has the highest desity for farming blocks. Rotate at the green blocks around and let your drones and micro drills do the rest - after a full circle press r and repeat. you get ~200k/m, so about 5min for 1million blocks

To anyone unsure on how to find the number following his guide due to having too big a number, put in float and use bigger than rather than exact value, example being you have 3.14M, put in 3130000 using bigger than for first scan, next scan will be 3150000 using smaller than instead of exact value. If you dont find it then break some more blocks and search again. Should be easy to whittle down numbers of results to 1 using that method in cheat engine.
