The game doesn't open? Read this
So, you got the game (or another game) and when it launches, nothing happens, just a couple of seconds and poop, the button is green, again asking you to press it again.
You don't know what happen, maybe you got W10 or W11, but anyways, the game doesn't open and you don't know what to do.

I contacted Zach (Thanks m8) because nobody in discussion made this exact post (the one you're reading right now) to tell others how to fix it, and I got the game for my Soiltaire Spider's addict lil mother.
In resume; what he told me was that the culprit could be: An antivirus, Windows controlled folder access, OneDrive or another automatic backup program.

So, what do you want to do first? go to
Documents\My Games\The Zachtronics Solitaire Collection

You want to check if there's any data in the game's save folder, for this exact problem the folder would be empty, maybe a steam_autocloud.vdf file inside and nothing else.

So, then, what to do?

First check if it's not Windows Controlled Access English[learn.microsoft.com] / Español[learn.microsoft.com]
For me, this was the problem, so you should come here first if it happened to you too.

You need to enable Zachtronics's game .exe to access controlled folders, because one of those folders is "My Documents" and that's where Zachtronics's games are saved on and Windows blocks access to them.

Why Windows blocks this game and not others?; No idea, my minds tells me that it's a developer thing that probs none of us mortals know the details, like how developers need to do specific things to their games so they could be opened without Windows getting mad with protections. Like when you download a file from internet and it says "Unblock file" on properties, or when you open a .setup that is not signed and Windows warns you about the file being suspicious, even if it isn't a virus and is your own thing.

Antivirus
Same as top option, check if your antivirus (if not Windows Defender) it's blocking the apps from putting info into /My Documents/, if they protect those folders, then find any option to let the game's .exe edit those folders.

Backup programs / OneDrive
OneDrive is mostly native in W10 and W11 and it activates by itself if you have a outlook/hotmail account associated to your pc.
So, what do you want to do? You should try to make an exception with the game's save folder and see if it works, or stop the backup from the whole /My Documents/ folder, and test it a couple of times until it works and you have all your stuff like you need it to be.

That's all, I hope it helped someone.
