How to open safe in upside down part

We have been doing this for like an hour now, me and, my friend are stuck on the level with with the safe. We found the code being 90 40 50 20 70. But we can figure out the combination. Our IQ is now dead. We need help!!!!

How did you guys get it? our code (normally) would be 70 60 30 20 90, we did it backwards, also tried to flip 60/90 but it didnt work even with holding the cylinder :(...could you maybe explain further or show me a video? would greatly appreciate

for people who need a bit more info
when you go into the room youll see numbers and arrows im sure youve concluded that you need to follow the arrows already but make sure when you are looking at the upside down 90s and 60s that you are correctly identifying what they are but besides that it is a five digit code and you must start as the sign says go right then left and so on back and fourth but also make sure not to spin it in a twirl motion cause i noticed this reset the code instead what you need to do is drag it in a straight line.
FINALLY make sure that when you have the number you want you then switch to going the other direction you will hear a click and that basically is a register sound to tell you that youre switching directions and numbers when you stop on the last number it will automatically open the safe

So I just solved it. When you enter the room there's gonna be a number on the wall, follow the numbers and then you'll get a combination. Mine was 60 , 70 , 30, 50, 40. But you have to reverse the combination to 40, 50, 30, 70, 60. When putting in the code you turn left or right and once you are on the number you turn the opposite direction and when you reach the last digit you let go of the lock and it will open.

Dragging the mouse in a circular motion for this lock doesn't work well. hold left click at the top of the knob and drag your mouse in a straight line left to right, right to left. Don't drag in a circular motion around the knob.

I feel like the issue here is a problem with how complicated the Safe controls are and it being incredibly finicky.

In our run we have the code 90 20 40 30 10.
The question is how is the cod input. Is this like most combination locks where you have the pass the number once first so it picks up the catch?
Or is it as soon as you reach the number?
Do you need to go one past it so you are on the number when it clicks?

We have tried all options above and none of them work.
This all done on a single click dragging the dial left and right to complete the code.
We switch directions at each number.
We have checked many times to be sure of the rout and the numbers. There is no mistake in them if the number are upsidedown like the rest of the room.

The inversion it is referring to is the numbers being upside down, not the code itself. When entering into the safe, do not let go of the dial. Spin to first number to the right, hold on it, then you go to the left to the next number, hold, back to the right, hold, so on and so forth. It's a traditional safe, it's how they work. You'll hear a clunk with each successful number input, so you know you are doing it correctly.

Well, If that is the case, Then it is broken. It does not work.
It "clunks" no matter what number you switch direction on.
We did everything described here and we could not get it to open.
I know we had the correct code, but we could not get the safe to accept it.

the first number to enter is the one in front of the front door then the number on the small wall after following the arrows.

then type this code right side up and not upside down! if you have a 60 or 90 in your code, beware and if the code does not work (which should not happen) reverse 60 by 90 example if it is 06 try 90 it can work.

but don't put the numbers upside down !

i know it is from back those numbers so its 60 50 30 20 70 and backwords its 70 20 30 50 60 i get into that safe thing and notging im in game rn for 3h just tipping taht numbers into that and i hear only EHHEEHEHEHHE IM MENTALY DOWN :P
