What's the deal with no news in nearly 2 years ?

I just lost a run with decent progress today, so my friends and I started a new one. Lo and behold, when checking if the game saved after our session... nope, it's empty, as if I never made a game at all. I've replicated this several times in a row and I'm unable to keep progress on a game. It's absurd this exists at all, honestly. Hello, in my system, the game does not recognize all gamepads. It seems I can connect 2 gamepads + keyboard, but I would like to connect 4 gamepads. I have microsoft gamepads that are no problems with other games made with unity. Is there a solution ? Thanks...
