Clearing the crocoidle sky temple side quest : unable to trigger side quest completion

i cleared the Eastern crocodile temple puzzle before i found the priest and his request to clearing it, however now it wont trigger as completed and i am trying to 100% the game:(( please tell me there is a solution to this

I’ve checked your save data. If the *Eastern Crocodile Temple* you mentioned is the one located in the desert, it appears that you haven't yet met the conditions to complete this quest!

Please head to the southeasternmost room in the *Under Cavern* (the room where solving the Zodiac statue puzzle opens the door) and eliminate all the monsters there. This will fulfill the quest requirements.

Afterward, go to the *Chief Priest of the Desert* in the southern area of the *Silent Desert* (southwest section of the desert map) to complete the quest.

omg im so sorry, i just checked and turns out you are correct, i had a completely different puzzle on my mind and i thought it was this one! thank you so much for helping and for this amazing game
