Error 0xc0000005 (Crash on Startup), could you help me?

Hello,
I bought the game recently, and I can't play it.
Everytime, it crashes on startup with this error: 0xc0000005
I verified my files.
My drivers are up to date.
Nothing changes.
Could you please help me?

A lot of Steam users have this issue - including me. Might be a "Steam migration" problem. The transfer from battle.net to Steam - that's what I think; the same with Modern Warfare I on Steam.

This is really annoying because it seems that the devs don't care about it.

It's been eight months since the game was released on Steam, and it still doesn't work. Even on Steam Deck, it flat out refuses to launch. Activision doesn't give a damn about us.

I thought this was the issue too but Cold War is working perfectly on steam even tho I own it on BNet too

Eight months? Ughh...for me it's been about nearly three.... Just holding out hope each time I come back here to see if anyone figured a way to get the game to run.

ive found a fix for the TOS Connection crash. maybe it works here too.

Ive found fix for Call of Duty 2019 Vanguard, Cold War. the games are crashing when xxx person has many friends i think the amount is around 250-300 then the bug appears and thje games are crashing so either u remove ur friends or like me just block all play the game and unblock ur friends again. if ur games crashed when trying to connect to servers. Then the fix will work. its a old bug what can be fixed by activision when they change the command in Steam settings to 9999 or 2000. for end users only fix is to have under 250 friends on Steam

Months of waiting. Time to pirate so I can finish campaign and uninstall this crap. At this point this is legal IMO as I own the game on Steam but due to it not working, I will just have to get a working version by any means. (Can't refund, 4 hours of attempts throughout months to get it working).
