This game is immensely disrespectful to the WWII veterans...
Not only is it historically inaccurate in terms of having non-whites and women at the forefront of the fighting (which wasn't the case except for a few special units), it doesn't even explore the racism that black soldiers experienced in the US military and instead portrays everything with rose-tinted glasses. This is tremendously disrespectful to all WWII veterans no matter their race or gender.

It's strange to see people defending the historical accuracy of a franchise that has never been anywhere close to historically accurate. I wonder how many WW2 veterans could wipe strawberry jam out of their eyes to survive bullet wounds.
Aren't you familiar with gameplay and story segregation?

I'm familiar with Call of Duty being historically inaccurate in both its story and its gameplay, yes.

No. Gameplay and story segregation is a common trope in video games. Look it up. It's the reason why most people don't take unrealism in gameplay too seriously. Story, characters and cutscenes however are different.

To keep it a buck fifty, we really don't need another entertainment product whining about the "hidden racism" of a historical event. Ain't nobody wants that, and it just leads to viewers/players rolling their eyes.
Speak for yourself, I want it to show the real history, prejudice, hatred, atrocities and all, instead of pretending those didn't happen or erasing it just to make it 'light'. Funny for you to complain about the lack of historical accuracy but then say that.

All that being said though, I don't really care about Vanguard being what it is since I never expected anything remotely close to realism in a COD game. That's what games like Hell Let Loose and Red Orchestra 2 are for.

It's funny how this woke stuff turns men into women. Seriously, so many man-tears and crying on these forums about the game being "woke." Good lord, so annoying.

Call of Duty: Vanguard presents an alternate timeline version of World War II. This explains why the roster is all encompassing of all nationalities (including German and Japanese) with no preset dress code banding together in a style similar to G.I. Joe.

If you read some of the bios (especially Daniel's) it mentions events after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Do I even need to bring up the final season which introduced a laser beam prototype weapon and brought back villains from past Call of Duty titles which were decades after World War II and into the future? How about the inclusion of Terminators and the PsyOps hitmen from The Umbrella Academy? Also for some reason Snoop Dogg was involved in World War II. Towards the end of the game's run they just decided to embrace the crazy and run with it.

Which is silly because the original CoD games (I'm talking about CoD 1-3) tried their best to be historically authentic and had none of this nonsense.

fun fact: video games arent historically accurate or try to be.
if its so disrespectful where were you in cod WW2 release? or the release of WAW?
The only common ground all of the Operators in Vanguard share is that they are all opposed to the Nazis. Nazis are who you are against during the Campaign. Otherwise you only see Nazis in the Operator Intros and MVP Highlights in multiplayer matches. For the multiplayer aspect, everyone is against each other although technically they all belong to and fight for the same side.

It actually doesn't and maybe not enough for you but commemorate fair enough those who fought and have fallen at Midway, or at forgotten battles of WW2 such as Taking and Destoying Merville Gun Battery by British Paratroopers or Striking at Numa Numa Trail in Pacific Campaign.
Read some articles before typing non sense.

Its a video game not a documentary. Clown ass 🤡
90% of the veterans didn't live to tell the tale, so is ok.
