Stuttering while playing Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War
Hello. I can't play Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War stable. What experiences did you have while playing? I have a Core i5 processor. 48GB RAM with Rtx 12gb graphics card. I play with a medium graphics setting and with 1980x1080 resolution, without ray tracing. Normally there should be no stuttering while playing. I think it is a poorly programmed game that has not been optimized so you have to buy an oversized powerful graphics card that consumes a lot of power

Well that is an opinion , a really bad one. An i5 and 48GB RAM :csgoskull: , crazy. You might be getting less fps because your GPU is better than your CPU so turn on Nvidia Low Reflex in the game settings. And just use the ingame recommended settings as Aminvtl already said. Game is optimized pretty well , just has a lot of rubber banding. Hope this comment helps bud.

i5 and 48GB RAM not crazy, it has enough power. And graphics card also has enough power
DEF BOTTLE NECKING, Samko is correct, either upgrade or use recommended settings, could i also ask why so much RAM? and how many resources could be taking that up? if issue persists, a lot could be at play storage or if you are running the game on a slow HDD etc...

With more RAM the PC runs better. I have an HDD scsi external hard drive, but I don't think the games necessarily need an SSD. I was able to play Doom Eternal smoothly without any problems

Here's what fixed it for me:

Go to Documents\Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War\player\

Open config.ini, scroll down to:

//Fraction of video memory usage to target
video_memory = "0.7" // 0.5 to 1

Change 0.7 to something lower like 0.6

*If you change any settings in-game, this will revert to 0.7-0.9.
