I hate to say it but zombies REALLY sucks.
The last time i dived deep into zombies was blops 3 and i've barely touched it since then but i recently jumped back in after purchasing cold war, i'm beyond sad, while it has a bit of fun to it, it just has no style whatsoever when compared to the older games, corporate greed at work for sure... Weapon tiers, battle passes and everything else, the soul has been ripped right out, i've uninstalled and reinstalled blops 3 to enjoy the nostalgia and shadows of evil, as just one example is leagues above this (mildly fun) slog.

I know you're trolling because Cold War doesn't even have Battle Passes anymore. They've been removed since Oct 2022. Typical BO3 fanboy, enjoy gambling for Gobblegums and only being able to play public matches on Kino and Shadows with hackers LOL

Not only that, pretty sure BO3 has a weapon leveling system as well as player leveling system, so his statements are just wrong

Alright i'll be honest, it's so bland i didn't even pay attention to whether or not there was a battle pass, i just assumed there was. Good on them i guess? Also with weapon tiers, i'm talking about common, uncommon, rare and so on, they know that ♥♥♥♥ lights npc gamers brains up like a christmas tree so they add it but it's just more lifeless bloat, doesn't add to the fun factor at all.... Weapon levelling systems are decent and aren't force fed to you.

Playing normally for gobblegums is and always has been valid, you also don't even need to use OP ones. If you get them well done if not so what you can still fully enjoy the beautiful maps all the same. So that's not a problem.

I mostly play solo so i'm not really bothered by hackers but that goes hand in hand with it being an older game.

The maps are BLAND in cold war, they pretty much just took standard, uninspired locations with no interesting theme and threw zombies in, does not compare in the slightest to, ALCATRAZ, ambience to the max ORIGINS, giant robots, the trenches, the staffs, ambience, BURIED, ambience. All themed, fun to play AND nice to look at. It's just taken up another level with blops 3 so i wont go into detail, you get the picture.

SO ENJOY YOUR SkiNS.

I disagree, best Zombie mode in a long time. I like the shared xp and weapon upgrades with MP.

If anything, BO3 would be just as bland as Cold War, so the issue here is you comparing 2 similar games as if one was vastly superior; if you don't like cold War, that's fine, but trying to go out of your way to make it look bad is just societal delusion

Yes, they do. Activision decided to make them more casual, easier, to bring more players into them.

Well, i'm not trying to make it look bad, i think it IS bad in comparison because of the reasons above and more, only in my opinion though ofc which we are all entitled to and i respect yours as well, although, what makes you think BO3 is as bland as cold war?

So the games are very similar: similar leveling system, just about the same zombie behavior, the grind is heavy, allowing the time-invested people to have a challenge system to work on; the only thing that would be different are the maps (ofc); so with all that noted, when you say that Cold War zombies sucks and is bland, you are also stating that BO3 zombies sucks and is bland too.

Also, one thing to note is: the Ultra weapons are superior, and splits into 2 types: Mastercraft and Reactive. Mastercraft has added bonus effects that allows it to do things a normal weapon couldn't do without effects like Brainrot, Napalm (Fire), etc; while Reactives just simply gets stronger the more kills you get, which is similar to a weaker version of Packing a weapon (And can still be packed to be stronger even then); so your argument where the tier system is a lie is an un-researched assumption itself

As for the maps, that part is entirely up to preference; Cold War is more derived towards combat-based rather than aesthetics; and a lot of the zombie maps are set to be hindering towards your flexibility rather than looking good

It all just feels like a blender of ideas and old enemies mixed together with not much thought and coherent direction with added bloat to me. You know though, it all just comes down to preference, we're different people and while cold war tickles your brain, it didn't mine, not as much, not anywhere near as much as zombies did in it's so called glory days. I may go back at some point though with a more open mind and spend more time with it because while i'm disappointed, i do see potential for fun, maybe i'm just tainted like many others hoping for it to go back to the way it was.

I don't even understand how people are upset that you dislike cold war, cold war has always been a mid soulless game.
I don't think you're "tainted" it's just new generation/outbreak brain rot, ever since we got outbreak we've had a huge injection of war zone players that never touched zombies in their life and don't have a clue how good we use to have it.

Unfortunately it also had the negative effect of causing activtion/treyarch to cater to these "newer zombie fans" all the while ignoring their existing fanbase, causing them to make Vanguard then MW3 "zombies". Which why wouldn't they? These newer "zombie players" will happily accept them being lazy and low cost by reusing a war zone map and throwing zombies into it with boring repetitive objectives

Almost forgot but they're also probably more likely to buy a skin for their soulless operator to boot.
