After that go to the library, right click on the game and under updates select "Only update this game when I launch it", then just launch the game as normal and you should be able to play right away. Step 1: Press Windows key + R on your keyboard, and type "steam://open/console" (this will display a new tab on steam named console)

Step 3: When the download is finished, copy the files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\contentapp_1985810\depot_1985811 to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (have files replaced and not deleted)

Step 4: Right click on the game in your Steam library, Properties, Update and select the option to update only when starting the game.

Step 5: Launch the game and play.

I tried it today and it worked for me, follow step by step. Good luck!
