Activision broke the game

after this update i cant get into a game, are they pulling the plug on this game?

Black ops 3 servers went a few weeks ago & still isn't up.Just constantly searching for a match.

Funny how this is only happening on steam.

I thought that only steam got the update and every other version is still on the previous update from september 2023

As far as I know battlenet,xbox & playstation are all ok.On steam there is a problem.

My last post was about black ops 3 not just cold war.

i was about to buy bo3 again but are you serious? no multiplayer on that either? Theyre going to just force me into buying the new cod i guess.

Do you understand english? My assumption is that steam got an update which the other cod bo3 and bocw versions e.g. ps, xbox, battle.net) didn't get which makes it unable for the steam version to find matches.

if what you say is right then players who received the update(steam version) should have no problem finding other players who also received the update in the public match, this is not about having different patches, they acutally did something terrible to the game.just like infinite warfare on 2022 getting fastfile error on steam version and got no fix afterward(zombie mode is still playable there and players can find others in the public if they decide to come back to the game), this time, not only there is no error, but also they added no players available to the zombie mode.

Me and my fiance play cold war a lot but recently after the steam update it won't let me into a lobby with her. She plays on ps4 and I play on pc. Every time I try to join her I just get the same error message "the game versions are incompatible for online play in this mode (45)". Both of us are updated to the latest version so idk what happened with steam. Additionally, whenever I play on my own it just constantly searches for matches for both mp and zombies. Would love for a hotfix update to release soon. Anyone else have any idea of what's going on?

Yep its been down for 3 or 4 weeks.
It's worth getting it on sale for the zombie customs,but that's only if you like zombies.

I still don't understand what you are saying.

You do realise black ops 3 does not have crossplay?.Steam players only play with steam players.Cold war has crossplay with other platforms like battlenet,xbox & playstation.

D*mn, glad i'm not the only one. I was about to reinstall the game until I came to this thread. Hopefully they fix this soon because cw is what I play most of the time

As far as I know servers have been down for consoles for a few months now. Just endlessly searches for matches so I assume the servers are dead

yeah and quite socking steam just allows it.. force em to fix it or pull it from the store, theyre still selling a broken game thats wild lol
