How many players to start a match of fireteam?

Just wondering how many players minimum it takes to start a match of Fireteam?
(As there is one achievement that relies on that game mode)

I believe it's 32 players, I've heard the best time to matchmake for it is on weekends and can't remember what time, but the servers are basically dead for fireteam, I've been trying to get Party Patrol achievement for a good while now and haven't got anything

Ah okay cheers. I heard somewhere it was 8 and just wanted to confirm. 32 is nuts as minimum number to start with.

I also remember hearing the game used have Fireteam Duos but I think it got removed.
