I don't understand this game's prestige system

Every time I close the game and log back in it resets me back to level 1 ever since I hit prestige 1. I don't get why it's not saving my leveling progress past the first 55 levels. Do I have to max out every prestige level in a single play session to rank up to the next prestige level so it can save my progress or am I missing something? Cause if I really have to grind 50-55 levels in a single play session, that's really retarded.

it is resetting you. i just rebooted my game after getting Prestiege 1 and im back to level 1 for the 3rd or 4th time rn.

So it's not only me then. Yea, it definitely is a bug that's resetting your progress every time you log out. Just did the Die Maschine EE in a pub match earlier today and got 24 levels out of it. Logged back in just now and I'm reset back to level 1. A stupid bug that will likely never get fixed, of course.

Gotta love Activision.

The best thing you can do, since Activision won't fix ♥♥♥♥ anyway, is to play a quick game on solo and die on round 1 after getting a kill. Or play a quick match on multiplayer. That way the reset will be activated on a small, non-important match. Afterwards you can play the main stuff you wanted to play in the first place.

As far as I can tell, it does not reset your progress. It starts the game with level 1 and updates the value, which is visible to you, as soon as you finish a session. Your progress is still there, just "in a background".
