step 3) locked menu screen 'Continue and Quit'

i cant get to the game puzzles. I wanted to see if there were any demo settings so I hit escape, it brings up "continue" and quit" clicking "continue or quit" does nothing, dragging the mouse over "continue and quit" leaves a red drawing line, hitting escape again does nothing. I'm now locked out of the game entirely.

I wound up in this menu right at the start before the first puzzle. Tapped escape a few times then did the correct thing and laughed. People all wound up over a joke game.

I agree that this is unintuitive introduction to the start->end mechanic, and it's about the most likely key for many of us to try in the game first.

It's not a blocker, since I just restarted the game and didn't hit escape again... but some kinda tooltip or mouse-drawing-line anim to explain the mechanic (at least the first time you hit escape) might help new players.

Despite this, great game! :)
