Why are tau infantry as strong as space marines in melee?
seriously, tau are supposed to be physically weaker than a well trained human guardsman. not only is it ridiculous lore wise for basic fire warriors to match space marines in melee combat but its insane in game balance too. The tau currently have no significant weaknesses compared to other factions.

There's not much sense in requiring the values of card games to seriously match the lore. Else it would be funny at start that every warlord has 35 or 40 HP.

Lorewise the necron lords should have autoheal, ork lords and tyranid lords should at least have huge HP. And tau lords should have low HP and more ranged damage.

But yes, the tau needs to be nerfed because they enjoy way TOO much advantages in all aspects.

The markerlight mechanism takes effect indefinite times in same turn, and it's easy to kill a 25 HP warlord with several drones and 4-5 stacks of markerlight. It's just insane.

Chaos could do similar things with daemonic frenzy, but it first needs to stack enough dark pacts on same unit, so the enemy has a chance to kill these units before that happens. But the markerlight? It could be just thrown on enemy warlord by strategies and markerlight drones, then it just stays there.

And the tau gets too much survival buffs, lots of flying, stealth, shield units, drones can be quickly and cheaply spammed and further buffed with shield, armor, long range....

Considering the necron scarabs only have 1 HP and is not flying, it's unfair to give tau drones flying ability and 3 HP (most of them).
