Large Concentric Castle: Extra Requirements?

So, I got a region that has enough fortification levels, at 48, has stone produced in the region, and could even build a normal concentric castle, but the Large Concentric castle is not listed in the available structures.

Am I missing something here? Region requirement? Some extra pre-requisite?

The LCC needs 500 Stewardship vs 350 for the Concentric Castle and 2 slots. Perhaps you ony have a spare one?

Does it actually use additional two slots on top of an existing fortification? I think I was able to build it only after I had two free slots, but after that I still had one slot left.

No, you should only need the difference, so 1 extra slot.

1.02 just confirmed - need 2 empty slots to be able to build, though it will occupy only 1 extra slot.
