Programmed Ruler death?
Playing as France, after being blessed with 2 very long reigns (80+ turns! something not even dreamed of in FOG Empires), my next ruler took over with good skills (2 'Good' and 1 'Very Good'). After 9 turns, aged 32 and in Excellent health, he died suddenly.

I was interested in looking back to previous saved turns to see if i missed something.
After some 'testing', it appears that, no matter what i do, and how far i go back, this ruler will ALWAYS die suddenly on the same turn. In few runs, i had a news about being saved from Deadly disease by a healer, but most of the time, nothing, And in the turn he's announced dead, no message on how he died (like 'in his sleep', 'after illness', etc.).

Do rulers have programmed death, maybe like under specific circumstances?

No, they do not. However, related to that, I never quite explained why the RNG, even with different rolls, managed to end up producing the same events. It's a mystery to me as well.

Maybe Karma, then; having another long-reigning Ruler would have been too much :D

Reminds me of a Star Trek episode where a character was trying to get back at different point in time to prevent an event, but whatever he did, the time frame and 'History' always came back to 'align' with the original one.

Merci pour la reponse rapide :)
